Let me say that today, for the third time in my life, I felt pure, lovely, intoxicating BLISS.

The first time I felt this was the day I went on the blind date with my cowboy.  After he drove the hour into Houston, picked me up, and took me to brunch, we spent the next 6-7 hours walking around the Houston Heights neighborhood and just talking.

This is amazing to me now because Oatmeal is no longer much of a talker.  He tells me all the time that he told me all I needed to know in the beginning, so he’s resorted back to being kind of a mute.

Anyhoo, I watched him drive off in his truck that day and literally felt a light growing in my heart.

The second time I felt it was when I heard “You may kiss your WIFE” at the end of our wedding ceremony.  After we kissed, I turned around to see our friends and family in the church, all smiling and beaming at us. It was absolutely lovely.

And then there was today. I went to our doctor for the second time.  I was by myself this time because the office is over an hour from Oatmeal’s office.  I know he would come with me if I wanted him to, but I let him off the hook.  After a quick weight and blood pressure check, I hopped on the exam table.  My doctor pulled my shirt up and stuck a doppler on my belly.  A few looooonnnngggg silent moments passed, but then…. this.

We weren’t even TRYING for this kid and I already love it so… so… so very much.
